1. Information We Collect

Information you provide: name, mailing address, email address, telephone and mobile number, date of birth, Social Security number, employment and income information, asset and liability information, property information, and any other information you submit on a loan application, contact form, or during communications with a loan officer.

Information from transactions and third parties: credit reports and scores from consumer reporting agencies, verification data from employers, financial institutions, and government agencies, appraisal and title information, and loan servicing history.

Information collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring URLs, and cookie or similar identifiers when you use our website.

Text messaging information: your mobile phone number, the date, time, and method of your consent to receive text messages, and the content of text messages you exchange with us.

2. How We Use Information

• To evaluate, process, originate, fund, close, and service your mortgage loan application.
• To communicate with you about your application, loan, appointments, and required documents, including by text message where you have opted in.
• To verify your identity, prevent fraud, and comply with federal and state lending, licensing, anti-money-laundering, and consumer-protection laws.
• To operate, secure, and improve our website and services.
• With your separate consent, to inform you about products and services that may interest you.

3. How We Share Information

We share personal information only as necessary to provide our services and as permitted by law, including with: lenders, investors, and loan servicers; credit bureaus and verification providers; appraisers, title and escrow companies, and settlement service providers; technology and communications vendors that process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations; regulators, law enforcement, and courts when required by law; and successors in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Text Messaging (SMS/MMS) Data and Consent

If you opt in to receive text messages from AFG, we use your mobile number and opt-in consent solely to send the messages you agreed to receive, such as loan status updates, document requests, appointment reminders, and replies from your loan officer.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and will not be sold, rented, or bought. Mobile information may be shared only with service providers that deliver messages on our behalf (for example, our messaging platform vendor), and only for that purpose.

5. Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) Notice

As a mortgage lender, AFG is subject to the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect nonpublic personal information, restrict access to employees who need it to serve you, and share nonpublic personal information with nonaffiliated third parties only as permitted by law (for example, to process or service your loan, or as required by regulators). You will receive our separate GLBA privacy notice with your loan application.

6. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request deletion or correction of personal information; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising); to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We will verify your identity before responding, generally within 45 days.

7. Cookies and Website Analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, and measure traffic. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may limit site functionality. We do not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

8. Data Security and Retention

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide services and to satisfy legal, regulatory, and record-keeping obligations applicable to mortgage lenders, after which it is securely deleted or de-identified.

9. Children

Our services are not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be posted on this page.
